Theme of Earth Day 2019

Celebrate everyday as Earth Day”

Every year on Earth Day a theme is decided which give a message to save our Earth. This year the theme for Earth Day is “Protect our Species” and to raise awareness about the increasing rate of extinction of millions of species .Excessive reduction of plant and wildlife populations is connected  to causes of species extinction driven by human activity: climate change, deforestation, habitat loss, trafficking and poaching, unsustainable agriculture, pollution and pesticides . The impacts are far reaching.

Earth Day an annual celebration which gives us a reason to celebrate and honor our beautiful planet. This day serves a helpful reminder message to review the impact on our environment and also re-commit to save our planet.

Earth Day is a campaign which is started in 1970 and celebrated on every 22nd April. This day remind us to change the way we treat our planet and to think about that what we can do to save our planet.

History of Earth Day:

The core idea to create awareness about the environmental issues was founded on 1969. It was first celebrated on 22nd April 1970. The true founders of earth day are JOHN MCCONNEL and GAYLORD NELSON. From 1990 – till today it becomes a global celebration with around 200 million people and 141 countries.

Importance of Earth Day:

No matter when we celebrate Earth Day but, it’s a message about our responsibility that we all share towards the environment and our planet earth. Due to global warming, overpopulation and other environmental issues our planet is in crisis and every person on this earth must take a responsibility to do as much as they can to preserve our earth natural resources for today and for future.
